Millésime 2018. “The maturity does not aways get there in a cold vintage, but a good place in a hot vintage. Sandy and light soil. Floral aroma. Fresh with satin texture and energy. Crunch at the end. Elegant with sapidity on the finish. I really like it.” by Sarah Marsh.

Millésime 2018. “The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes reveals lovely aromas of wild berries, peonies and sweet forest floor, framed by a discrete application of new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied and supple but precise, with fine tannins and a succulent core of crunchy berry fruit. This cool, high-altitude and northeast-exposed site has performed very well in this warm vintage.” by William Kelley.

Millésime 2018. “This too is quite firmly reduced and nothing escapes the funk today. More interesting are the energetic medium-bodied flavors that are caressing yet focused with firm supporting tannins that are slightly grippy and chewy yet not so much that they cut the finish short though or render the finish unduly rustic.”

Millésime 2018. Barrel sample. “Soft-rimmed cherry red. More fragrant than the Pruliers and less marked by the oak on the nose. The tannins are more silky too, but definite and sufficient, the fruit brighter. Drink 2023 – 2030.”

Millésime 2017. Cask sample. “Mid cherry red. Super-fragrant red fruits here, lifted from the glass. Cherries sweet and tangy. Firmish tannins and less scented on the palate. Some oak sweetness evident here but those tannins are already supple even if clearly present. Deep and persistent. (JH) Drink 2024-2030.”
