Millésime 2018. “Le Corton. East facing. This is showing much better. Ripe but not overly rich with good depth and wet stone minerality. Long finish. It will age well.” by Sarah Marsh.

Millésime 2018. “Bursting from the glass with aromas of citrus oil, fresh pear, dried flowers, toasted nuts and fresh pastry, Faiveley’s 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is medium to full-bodied, lively and incisive, with good concentration and chalky structuring extract, concluding with a long, precise and mineral finish.” by William Kelley.

Millésime 2018. Barrel sample. “After the Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot, this smells more subtle, more stony, though there’s still some attractive oak spice and a slight stoniness. Surprisingly rounded on the palate and could do with a little more intensity in the middle. Long but slightly disappointing. Drink 2023 – 2028.”

Millésime 2017. “Hard to beat in 2017, this comes from cool, east-facing vineyards that ripen slowly, even in a warm year. Focused, pithy and fizzing with energy, it’s a rich, dense wine with 40% new oak, creamy lees and a tangy mouthwatering finish.” Drink 2020 – 2029.

Millésime 2017. “Slightly cloudy barrel sample. Ripe citrus and spice. Big and so primary, you could almost be tasting the grapes. Spicy and so creamy on the palate it is almost thick. But the acidity is high. Not meshed yet but the components seem balanced. (JH). Drink 2027-2040.”
